Nottingham Forest have had a host of players over the years who have slipped through the net when it comes to young talent.
When you’re a club such as Forest with a brilliant academy, it’s nigh on impossible to keep every single youngster that comes through the ranks.
There will be some who get poached by bigger clubs and then others might not quite be at the standard required to make an impact at Forest and get moved on.
One way or another, the club always aims to do what they feel is right and it’s always nice to see players who aren’t successful at Forest get hooked up elsewhere.
That is exactly what has happened with one academy star who has now got himself hooked up in Nottinghamshire with a couple of former Forest favourites.

Jayden Chambers-Morgan makes Mansfield Town debut
It was a night to remember for the young player on Tuesday night as he became the third youngest player in Stags’ history.
Chambers-Morgan came on as a substitute as Mansfield defeated Newcastle United under-21s 3-0 in the EFL Trophy.
The talented 16-year-old, Chambers-Morgan, was introduced with 13 minutes of the game remaining and gave a strong account of himself.
A versatile forward has only been with the Stags a matter of months having been given a scholarship following his Forest release.
At Mansfield, he will be nurtured by Steve Chettle who oversees the academy at One Call Stadium, whilst Forest hero Nigel Clough is the manager of the senior ranks.
What Steve Chettle said about Jayden Chambers-Morgan
Forest might have missed a bit of a trick here when it comes to Chambers-Morgan.
He’s certainly not had to move far to get hooked up with a club in the EFL and he’s already making strides with Mansfield.
Chettle was very keen to get him in at the League One outfit and he’s delighted with his progress thus far.
He told the Mansfield Chad: “Jayden trained with the first team last week and has been outstanding for us this year. He is a good prospect.
“We have been very demanding of him since he came in.
“He was a close-season signing and had been at Forest until he was an u16 player.
“We have to work hard on him to try to work our way of how we want to do things. He has got there now and reaped the rewards.
“Some of his play has been fantastic. He went across to train with the gaffer last week and there was some very positive feedback, we are very pleased.”
Chambers-Morgan is one to watch
Although his outing came in a competition that seemingly nobody wants to exist, nobody can take this senior outing away from Chambers-Morgan.
It will do wonders for the player’s confidence given that it can’t be easy to be told at 16 that you’re not going to be offered a deal by Forest.
Chettle is clearly happy with his progress and it’s testament to the player and the people around him that he’s kicking on with trying to forge a career out of football.
Forest will now wish Chambers-Morgan the best of luck and it will be fascinating to see what the future holds for the youngster.
