It won’t come as a surprise that Nottingham Forest are already being linked with new players ahead of January.
The Reds have signed a number of new recruits since returning to the Premier League with varying degrees of success.
In the summer, Forest nailed the recruitment and signed 11 new players with two of them heading straight out to Olympiacos on loan.
A quality-over-quantity approach has seen Forest strive on the pitch and the team currently occupy fifth place in the Premier League.
Forest tried desperately to sign a striker in the summer but that remained the only blemish of an otherwise successful window.
Santiago Gimenez looked the closest to joining but rejected Forest on a number of occasions.
Now, with January on the horizon, it would appear that the Reds are on the lookout for new players.

Nottingham Forest want Brighton star Tariq Lamptey
According to Caught Offside a number of clubs are monitoring the Brighton defender.
Forest, Brentford and West Ham are all among the clubs keen to poach Lamptey with his contract due to expire next summer.
The £42,000-a-week Lamptey is showing no indication that he will stay with Brighton with Fabian Hurzeler not seemingly a huge fan.
He’s been an unused substitute on six occasions this season with his only Premier League appearance coming from the bench against Wolves.
Lamptey has made three appearances in the Carabao Cup for Brighton but the Seagulls are now out of that competition.
The 24-year-old has made 106 appearances in total for Brighton but his days now look numbered at the AMEX Stadium.
Ian Wright is a big fan of Lamptey and previously called him ‘fantastic’ in September when the player chose to represent Ghana instead of England.
Lamptey fits the profile of a Forest signing
The club worked tirelessly to lower the average of the squad in the summer and that approach can’t be abandoned.
Lamptey might not have been the first choice at Brighton for a little while but ultimately, he’s still a player with bags of potential.
At 24, he’s got time on his side and he would arrive at the club with a big point to prove after being down the pecking order with Brighton.
Forest do have options at full-back but that could change next season.
Ola Aina is in talks over a new contract but Neco Williams was linked with a move to Atalanta last summer and might want to play regularly.
Elsewhere, Alex Moreno is only on loan, whilst Harry Toffolo will almost certainly leave at the end of his deal.
Forest will face competition from Lamptey but in our view, he’d be a quality signing if the club can get it over the line.
