Nottingham Forest are facing a tough test against Arsenal this weekend as the Premier League action gets back underway.

The Reds are hoping to get back to winning ways after losing 3-1 to Newcastle before the international break.

Forest have made a fine start to the season, however, and currently occupy fifth place in the Premier League table.

This weekend will be when things get really tough for Nuno Espirito Santo, however, and a tough run of games are on the horizon for Forest.

Forest will simply go to Arsenal this week looking to have a good go and try to maintain an unbeaten start to life on the road this season.

The Gunners are hoping for another tilt at the title this season and the Forest head coach will be under no illusions of just how tough this weekend will be.

Gary Neville and Ian Wright predict Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest outcome

It perhaps won’t come as a surprise that Forest are being discounted this weekend.

Arsenal will be the heavy favourites for this clash on home soil and have beaten Forest in both home games since the Reds returned to the Premier League.

Ahead of the weekend, Neville and Wright have made their predictions and both pundits agree on the outcome of the contest – even if the scorelines predicted differ.

Speaking on The Overlap, Wright said: “I think we beat them 2-1 or 2-0. I’ll go 2-1 Arsenal.”

Neville agreed that Arsenal would win and commented: “I think 3-1.”

Forest have nothing to lose against Arsenal in the Premier League

The Reds have already played some tough games away from home this season and have so far come through unscathed.

It’s been a stark contrast away from home under Espirito Santo with his strategy almost more suitable for playing away from the City Ground.

Arsenal will provide a big test for Forest and across the pitch the Reds will need to outperform their opposite number if a positive result is to be obtained.

But, there really is nothing for Forest to lose this weekend.

Okay, a defeat might see the Reds spiral down the league table but with 19 points on the board already, the relegation zone is hardly in the rearview mirror this season.

As a result, Forest need to go to the Emirates with a mentality of simply having a go and trying to upset the Arsenal rhythm.
