Steve Cooper was the second manager to go in the Premier League this season, as Leicester relieved him of his duties earlier on this week.
Leicester find themselves one point above the relegation zone after 12 games, which isn’t bad going when you consider the aim was to avoid relegation.
Towards the end of his time at Nottingham Forest, the performances looked stale and lacked any kind of solidity, but that wasn’t entirely the case at Leicester.
The Foxes only lost by a goal against Chelsea at the weekend, but that extended their streak without a win to five games which was deemed too much.
Interestingly, the former Nottingham Forest boss encountered an issue during his time at Leicester that actually involved his former club.

Steve Cooper was shocked Leicester fans weren’t fond of his relationship with Nottingham Forest
Steve Cooper‘s managerial ability may be frowned upon at this moment in time, but he did get Nottingham Forest promoted to the Premier League.
No other manager managed to do this in the 23 years previous, so fans will forever be thankful.
However, it appears as if those years of grinding away at Nottingham Forest didn’t help Steve Cooper’s case, as the Leicester fans weren’t too happy.
According to the Athletic, Cooper himself was surprised when he took over at the reaction of some Leicester fans to his connection to their east Midlands rivals Forest.
Nottingham Forest in a rough patch of their own
Nuno Espirito Santo is encountering a bit of a tricky patch after a good start to the season, with back-to-back losses against Newcastle United and Arsenal.
One of the issues that was raised against Arsenal was Chris Wood’s absence from the start, as Nuno opted to give him a little bit more recovery time from any potential jet lag.
However, this was arguably a strange decision given the magnitude of the game against Arsenal, and how little Taiwo Awoniyi has played so far this season.
The Nigerian striker held the ball up well at times but just didn’t offer much.
