Nottingham Forest face another trip to Manchester on Saturday this time to face United in the Premier League.
The Reds were beaten by City in midweek and will be hoping to perform better on the other side of town.
Forest have been largely good this season and under Nuno Espirito Santo there is hope that a solid season can be achieved.
After the defeat to City, Kevin De Bruyne praised Forest but the fact that no points were obtained is far from ideal for the Reds.
Still, the season won’t be defined by results against City and it’s important that Forest remain positive ahead of Saturday’s contest against the Red Devils.

Paul Merson predicts Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest score
The Reds will feel confident going into most games this season under Espirito Santo.
The Forest head coach has a meticulous game plan for every opponent and Saturday will be no different at Old Trafford.
Naturally, the Red Devils will provide a formidable test but there is enough in the Forest team to cause some problems for the Reds.
Merson has been delivering his predictions for the next game week and he believes Forest will give a good account of themselves at Old Trafford.
He told Sportskeeda: “Forest may have lost to Manchester City the other day, but I think they will cause problems at Old Trafford. They are good down the wings and this could hurt Manchester United. I’m going for a draw here.”
Merson predicted a 2-2 draw and in our view, most fans would be satisfied to take a point from a tricky trip to Manchester.
Forest have to retain belief at Manchester United
Despite their recent struggles, United at home are still a force to be reckoned with.
Okay, the league’s better teams have gone there and won in recent times but they will still see Forest at home as a winnable game.
If United senses that Forest don’t believe they can get a result at Old Trafford, the hosts will eat them alive and that simply can’t happen.
The Reds have to show a desire to get on the ball and play in the style that Espirito Santo has been keen for his team to adopt this season.
Merson is right that Forest will feel they can hurt most teams down the sides of the pitch and hopefully, the Reds can get some joy – and a positive result – this weekend.
