Nottingham Forest have made a brilliant start to the Premier League campaign during 2024/25.

The Reds have won half of the 16 matches played so far and sit in a lofty fourth place in the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo has been praised for his work and he’s changed the perception of Forest as a Premier League club.

It feels like this is the season when the club doesn’t become relegation-threatened and that’s down to a solid group of players.

Forest have enjoyed better luck on the injury front this season but there are still a couple of players who the team are waiting on.

Espirito Santo issued an update on Ryan Yates and Murillo after Saturday’s win over Aston Villa and they should both be fine for the weekend.

Now, however, there appears to be some positive news regarding one long-term casualty.

Ibrahim Sangare delivers update on injury situation

It’s been a real slog of a season again for Sangare.

He was handed the chance to start the campaign in central midfield but picked up an injury at the end of August.

He’s not been seen since and that feels like a real shame.

It’s cliched but Sangare really did feel like a new signing when he started the season and he helped Forest claim a big away win at Southampton.

Now, however, he’s posted an update on Instagram and it appears he’s back in the training gear at the club’s training centre.

He was posted being put through his paces and that can only bode well for him potentially returning during the New Year.

Sangare can add bite to Forest midfield

The talented defensive midfielder was in fine form at the start of the season and sat top when it came to most tackles in the Premier League.

Sangare will have been gutted to break down with another injury as he fights to prove himself following a £30 million move from PSV.

The 27-year-old is clearly on the mend and the challenge now is for him to force his way back into the midfield fold with the Reds in fine form.

Sangare needs the support of the fans to prove himself and hopefully, he can be a big player for Espirito Santo in the second half of the campaign.
