Forest have some very big games coming up on the horizon and it will be fascinating to see what 2025 holds for the Reds.
It’s been a solid start to the 2024/25 campaign for Forest and thankfully, this year looks like the season when any relegation danger will be averted.
The Premier League table looks pretty decent from a Forest perspective and Nuno Espirito Santo deserves a lot of credit.
Jamie Redknapp says that Espirito Santo is doing well and the fact that pundits are taking notice is a huge thing.
With the New Year upon us, we’ve had a look at how Forest might perform in the game scheduled to take place in January.

Predicting Nottingham Forest results in January
Wolves (A) – January 6th
The first Premier League contest of the New Year sees the Reds head to Wolves where Vitor Pereira is getting his feet under the table.
As a result, we think this fixture will be tricky for Forest to navigate.
There are, however, some mitigating circumstances for the Reds as Morgan Gibbs-White will be keen to prove a point, whilst Nuno Espirito Santo goes back to Molineux too.
We think this will be a very tough game for the Reds but also wouldn’t be surprised if the Reds won.
Prediction: Wolves 1-2 Nottingham Forest
Luton (H) – January 11th – FA Cup
After last season, Rob Edwards might have been glad to see the back of Forest.
His team saw the Reds deducted four points for breaching PSR but still couldn’t find the required total to remain as a Premier League club.
This could go one of two ways, Forest rest players and come unstuck or the Reds take advantage of a seriously struggling Luton side.
We fancy the latter…
Prediction: Nottingham Forest 3-1 Luton
Liverpool (H) – January 14th
This game looks like a huge one and Forest are eyeing a brilliant double over the Anfield giants.
Callum Hudson-Odoi scored the only goal of the game as the Reds won on Merseyside in September and maybe history will repeat itself here.
In truth, this game will be so tough, with Liverpool now the real frontrunners for the Premier League title.
We fancy a close game but a narrow slip-up.
Prediction: Nottingham Forest 1-2 Liverpool
Southampton (H) – 19th January
This one should really be a doddle.
Southampton are dreadfully bad at the moment and this game is the one that every club keen to get three points on their total should be looking towards.
Forest won 1-0 at St Mary’s Stadium in August and we anticipate this one will be more comfortable.
Prediction: Nottingham Forest 3-0 Southampton
Bournemouth (A) – 25th January
At the moment Bournemouth have similar priorities to Forest and Andoni Iraola is rightly getting plaudits for his work.
The Cherries will fancy beating Forest given they have a pretty decent record against Forest in the past.
However, a contrast of styles might just see Forest nick a point here.
Prediction: Bournemouth 1-1 Nottingham Forest
