Nottingham Forest have started well in 2024/25 and there is more to come from the team in the second half of the campaign.
The Reds have made great strides this season and Evangelos Marinakis must be satisfied with where the team is sitting right now.
Nuno Espirito Santo has been hailed by pundits this season and any notion of relegation appears a mental concept.
Forest did some wonderful business in the transfer window and have already claimed big wins away at Liverpool and Manchester United this season.
With around half of the season left to play, we’ve looked at who the top five Nottingham Forest players have been so far in 2024/25.

5. Elliot Anderson
When it comes to the Who Scored ratings, Anderson actually takes the top spot but in our run down we’ve put him at number five.
The reason for that is it’s only been recently that he’s truly starting to shine as Nuno Espirito Santo tries to get him and Morgan Gibbs-White in the same team.
Anderson can play in a number of positions, gives his all in every single game and on current form he looks totally worth the £15 million that Forest essentially ended up paying for him.
4. Matz Sels
The goalkeeper has been vastly improved since last season and he has a solid number of clean sheets to his name already this season.
Sels was hardly the first choice when he checked in last January but he’s really started to prove himself as the club’s number one.
Sels wowed Joe Hart against Chelsea earlier in the season and there is no doubt that the Belgian is now the number one stopper.
3. Chris Wood
The club’s leading goalscorer has overtaken Bryan Roy this season to become the club’s all-time goal-getter when it comes to the Premier League.
Wood and Forest are locked in talks over a new deal and hopefully, something can be struck between the two parties in the coming weeks.
The 33-year-old player was written off by everyone when he first arrived and he’s now rammed those words back down the throats of the fan base.
2. Ola Aina
Ian Wright raved about Aina recently and Aina is very much Mr Vibes when it comes to the Nottingham Forest dressing room.
The player signed for the club on a free transfer from Torino in 2023 and he has to go down as one of the best bits of business the club has ever done.
Aina can play on either side of the defence and Nuno Espirito Santo trusts him to play in either position when it comes to picking his team.
1. Nikola Milenkovic
Milenkovic gets our nod as the Player of the Year so far purely for the difference in both boxes from a Forest perspective.
Robbie Earle raved about Milenkovic and said he slips under the radar and in reality, that’s because he’s effortless with every aspect of his defending.
Forest have become better in both boxes with him playing at centre-back and at £12 million, he’s proving a real steal.
