Nottingham Forest defeated Luton Town in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon as the Reds progressed to round four for the second successive campaign.
The Reds won courtesy of goals from Ryan Yates and Ramon Sosa with Nuno Espirito Santo’s men scoring a goal in each half.
Luton gave things a good go but ultimately they played like a team 20th in the Championship, devoid of confidence and without a manager.
Former Forest employee Paul Trollope barked instructions from the touchline but he couldn’t mastermind a win over the Reds.
The FA Cup clearly isn’t Forest’s bread and butter this season but with plenty of points on the board, perhaps a cup run is in the sights of Espirito Santo.

Nottingham Forest fans in total agreement on Ramon Sosa performance vs Luton
This was a brilliant opportunity for Sosa and it’s fair to say that the Paraguay international looked the part against Championship opposition.
One Forest fan wrote: Go on lads, next round here we come. Sosa going to be some player, I’m telling you.
One Forest fan tipped the player for the best player, claiming: Sosa or Yates MOTM, however, impressed with mostly everyone.
Finally, one Forest fan posted: Unreal from Yates and Jota amazing run with Sosa producing a really class finish.
Ramon Sosa stats vs Luton in the FA Cup
It was great that Espirito Santo has managed to give some of his players a run out in this game without collecting any injuries to his top stars.
Sosa took some time to get going but he once again playing his part as he has done so often this season when coming on from the bench.
| Ramon Sosa stats vs Luton | Total |
| Minutes | 73 |
| Goals | 1 |
| Assists | 1 |
| Pass Accuracy | 76% |
| Touches | 43 |
This time it was a chance to start and the 25-year-old does look like a very useful player if he can get himself on the pitch more often.
The challenge for Sosa is tough at the moment with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga ahead of him in the pecking order.
This performance proved, however, that he can play his part this season and there is absolutely more to come from the Paraguayan.
