Neco Williams breaks silence with eight-word Instagram post after Nottingham Forest thrashing

Nottingham Forest were well and truly beaten by Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium as an unbeaten run came to an abrupt halt.

Nuno Espirito Santo saw his team beaten 5-0 by the Cherries as Andoni Iraola offered the Forest head coach some food for thought with his team producing a dominant display.

Forest were missing Callum Hudson-Odoi for the clash. His absence was sorely felt as the Reds failed to get themselves into enough positions to cause problems for Bournemouth.

It’s been a strong run for Forest in the Premier League and hopefully, this is nothing more than a minor blip away from home and getting back to the City Ground might be just what the Reds need.

Neco Williams breaks social media silence after Nottingham Forest defeat

Williams has been a regular in the team during the recent winning run. His performances have helped Forest up to third place in the Premier League and he’s vastly improved.

It’s been strange to lose a game with social media practically silent when it comes to Forest players, with the players usually posting positive messages following the recent victories.

Williams has been the first player to break the silence following yesterday’s drubbing against Bournemouth. He posted an eight-word message on Instagram that said: “Now it’s how we react and bounce back.”

Forest play Brighton on home soil next weekend. It offers the Reds a huge chance to get back to winning ways and the early kick-off means the team can pile the pressure on some of their rivals too.

Williams is now a Forest mainstay

Bizarrely, Williams – signed as a right-back – is now producing the goods as a left-back and clearly he’s coping well despite being asked to play on the opposite side of the pitch.

Williams was linked with Atalanta in the summer. Forest will now be glad that they chose not to cash in on the player and the hope will be that he can continue to get even better.

The Reds have a relatively young squad and the competition for places is particularly impressive this season. Williams wasn’t considered first choice for a few months earlier in the campaign but now he’s proved people wrong.

His message on Instagram is certainly intriguing. Nobody anticipated Forest wouldn’t lose again but now it’s very much about how the team reacts and a big three points next weekend would make everything better.
