Nottingham Forest face Arsenal tonight looking to get back to winning ways after consecutive defeats away from the City Ground.

The last time the Reds played on home soil, Brighton were beaten 7-0 and hopefully a big three points can be obtained against the Gunners tonight.

One of the big debates from the recent bad form has been who should play in the middle of the park alongside Elliot Anderson.

The man signed for £35 million from Newcastle looks like a mainstay in the team at the moment, with Danilo and Nicolas Dominguez partnering him in recent weeks.

That conundrum will once again be rife in the head of Nuno Espirito Santo tonight as the Reds face a really difficult challenge against the Gunners.

Nottingham Forest fans want Ryan Yates to start vs Arsenal

It’s been a while since Yates started a game in the Premier League and after he came on against Newcastle and scored a late goal, fans are in no doubt as to who should partner Anderson tonight.

Another fan wrote: “So, I’m no fan of Yates but he should start against Arsenal for me.”

Fans are hoping to see the team tighten up tonight and another fan claimed: “For Arsenal on Wednesday, I would start with Anderson and Yates, with Gibbs-White just ahead of them.”

Finally, another supporter claimed: “Yates over Dominguez every single time. Absolutely brilliant this afternoon.”

Yates often divides opinion among the fan base but nobody can ever deny his commitment to the Forest cause as a midfielder and as the club captain.

For whatever reason, Espirito Santo has decided lately that he’s not the player for him in his engine room and decided to go with other options.

Yates did give a strong account of himself at Newcastle on Sunday, however, and perhaps a clash with Arsenal is the game to bring him back into the starting eleven.

Whoever plays tonight will be in for a tough assignment. Arsenal are extremely strong through the middle of the park and if it’s Yates who gets the nod, he will need to be at it from minute one.
