What Nuno Espirito Santo did in the dressing room after Nottingham Forest beat Manchester City

Nottingham Forest roared back to winning ways as Manchester City were put to the sword at a sun-soaked City Ground.

The game had looked to be heading towards a statement which would have seen a second successive goalless draw in the Premier League on Trentside after a share of the spoils against Arsenal.

Forest have match-winners aplenty these days, however. With just seven minutes remaining a superb ball cross-field from Morgan Gibbs-White sent Callum Hudson-Odoi bearing down on goal and he finished brilliantly at the near post.

It sparked wonderful City Ground scenes and Nuno Espirito Santo will have been delighted with the efforts of his players as City were restricted to half chances, with Forest going four clear of the reigning champions.

What Nuno Espirito Santo did in the dressing room after Forest beat Manchester City

There are some seriously good vibes in the Forest dressing room at the moment. Every win is celebrated wildly and ultimately, this season is now threatening to be an extremely good one.

Espirito Santo is constantly keen to reiterate that it’s all about the players on the pitch and now about him. However, he’s changed the perception of the football club and the fans have bought into his ethos.

After today’s win over City, Espirito Santo allowed himself a celebration. He was snapped on the Snapchat story of Ola Aina getting involved with the dressing room celebrations and could be seen bopping around the dressing room.

It was great to see the manager letting his hair down – figuratively speaking – and right now, the Forest head coach is proving his worth when it comes to football at this level.

Espirito Santo was seen celebrating on the pitch after Monday’s win over Ipswich. On this occasion, he was more reserved in front of Pep Guardiola and instead chose to wait until he was back inside the dressing room.

Aina was one player who richly deserved his Man of the Match accolade. Although he didn’t get the official award, he was given the nod by the sponsors who chose the game’s best player inside the stadium.

Forest have to get Aina tied down to a new contract. Losing him for free and today, up against three different wingers, he enjoyed some brilliant moments down the right-hand side for the Reds.

Aina has been a revelation since signing for Forest. He’s worth his weight in gold right now, and City couldn’t find a way beyond him during their latest defeat against the Reds on Trentside.
