Tyler Bidon continues to amaze on loan at Reading, with fans of the League One side predicting a big future for the New Zealand international.

From the moment he signed on deadline day, Reading fans have been full of praise for Bindon, which has fueled the excitement in Nottingham for the arrival of their new centre back.

It is still unknown what the plans for Bindon are when he returns from Reading as the Forest squad is fairly strong in central defence, meaning that the 20-year-old may end up out on loan again.

However, Bindon earned Murillo comparisons for his display against Birmingham City to further increase the levels of excitement about his potential impact under Nuno Espirito Santo, which may come sooner than expected if the rave reviews keep flying in.

Facing off against promotion-chasing Wrexham on Tuesday evening, Bindon was once again superb in the 2-0 Reading win, so much so that Royals fans took to social media to look ahead at just how far the Kiwi international could take his career.

Reading fans predict big things for ‘generational talent’ Tyler Bindon

As Forest fans attempted to learn more about their shock deadline day signing, a New Zealand football expert hailed Bindon’s composure, which gave a slight hint as to what Reading fans have been raving about all season long.

The praise has continued for the young defender on social media after the Wrexham win, as Royals fans show no doubts that he will be a success at Forest.

One Reading fan said: “Oh my god Tyler Bindon, what a block, he is a generational talent!”, while another added: “All the money that Wrexham have spent and Tyler Bindon was still the best player on the pitch by a mile.”

Another Royals fan said: “Every confidence that Tyler Bindon could step into the Premier League tomorrow.” With one more simply saying: “Run out of superlatives for Bindon.”

A different fan said: “Tyler Bindon looks every inch a Premier League player of the future.” While another Reading supporter said: “Bindon will be a huge miss, but he’s destined for bigger things.”

Tyler Bindon showed Premier League quality against Wrexham

Bindon was crowned New Zealand’s Emerging Talent in 2024, and judging by what Reading fans are saying, that won’t be the only award he wins in his career.

Against Wrexham, Bindon won every one of his aerial duels and all but one of his ground duels, showing that he has control of his six-foot-three frame, a promising sign given how early he is into his time in football.

Bindon also showed an ability on the ball, completing 87% of his passes, which almost furthers the comparisons with Murillo to the excitement of Forest fans.

There’s no need for the Reds to get ahead of themselves as Bindon has yet to experience a level above League One, but it may not be too surprising if the Kiwi steps straight into Espirito Santo’s plans to dominate at the City Ground.
