Nottingham Forest were beaten by Everton on Saturday as the Reds suffered a second successive defeat at the worst possible time.
Nuno Espirito Santo will hope his team can improve for next Monday’s game against Tottenham, with the Forest head coach now looking to topple his former club to get back on track.
Robbie Earle still has faith in Forest and with six games to go, the Reds are still in a very solid position in the Premier League table.
The pundits are now starting to write Forest out of the Champions League places, with Newcastle, Manchester City and Aston Villa all winning at the weekend to make up ground.

Ian Wright noticed fresh worry for Forest in defeat to Everton
Forest lost the game in the fourth minute of injury time and that proved to be a real sickener for the Reds, who did look on track to at the very least claim a point.
In truth, Everton did to Forest what the Reds have done to so many teams this season and Espirito Santo now had to come up with a plan to get his team back on track.
Wright admits he’s now worried about Forest in the quest to secure a place in the Champions League for next season.
He said on The Kelly and Wrighty Show: “With everything going on this weekend, the fact that Everton did to Forest what Forest have done to so many other teams will have probably worried Nuno more than anything. The more I watched the game, you could see the Everton players just growing in confidence and they just kept going at them and Doucoure got the goal at the end.
“That’s something that’s not quite right, it wasn’t long ago they lost 5-0 and then came back and won 7-0. That game, you look at Everton and they’re kind of just riding off into the sunset to their new stadium. It’s the kind of game that if I’m in that Forest dressing room, I’d be urging my teammates to really go at them, they’re safe, just finish this early, and they didn’t do it.”
Forest need to relax and get back to basics
The recent second half against Aston Villa should offer Forest some encouragement, with the Reds brilliant in that second period and unlucky not to get anything from the match.
On Saturday, Everton did a job on the Reds, but all is not lost just yet with half a dozen games still left to play this season.
Forest don’t have the worst run of fixtures still to play and although the team will have to do better than they did at the weekend, all is now lost just yet.
The Reds have bounced back this season before and hopefully, more positive performances are just around the corner as the team approaches the home straight.
