Nottingham Forest’s quest for FA Cup glory faces its toughest task yet in the shape of Manchester City.

Forest overcame Brighton in the quarter-finals, in what was their third consecutive penalty shootout victory in the competition.

Man City, meanwhile, came from behind to beat high-flying Bournemouth at the Vitality, setting up a tasty semi-final clash at Wembley.

Having already beaten the Citizens in the league back in March, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will no doubt fancy their chances in securing their first FA Cup final since 1991.

With that being said, here is everything you need to know ahead of the potentially historic Wembley clash.

Nottingham Forest team news

The likes of Chris Wood and Anthony Elanga have struggled for fitness in recent weeks, but both looked back to their best in the win against Tottenham on Monday evening.

Harry Toffolo also impressed against Spurs, and he could feature again at Wembley with Ola Aina injured and Neco Williams suspended.

In midfield, Ryan Yates will also be unavailable for selection due to suspension, having picked up his second yellow of the competition versus Brighton.

Forest’s attacking options could also be hindered with Jota Silva an injury doubt after picking up a knock ahead of the Spurs game.

Manchester City team news

Pep Guardiola recently labelled Forest as ‘outstanding’, so the Spaniard will no doubt be gutted that a number of his star players will miss the trip to Wembley.

The Citizens will be without Erling Haaland after he picked up an ankle injury in the previous round, plus goalkeeper Ederson will also miss the semi-final with a groin problem.

City’s defence will again be light on numbers, with both John Stones and Nathan Ake likely not to feature.
