Nottingham Forest have been beaten 2-0 by Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final.
Forest’s cup hopes were dealt a fatal blow at Wembley as they were outclassed by the reigning Premier League champions.
The City Ground outfit got off to the worst possible start, falling behind after just two minutes, thanks to a smart long-range finish from Rico Lewis.
Man City would then add a second just after half-time through Josko Gvadriol, sealing their place in the FA Cup final.
Despite throwing caution to the wind late on, Forest failed to really lay and glove on the Citizens, with a number of their players flattering to deceive at Wembley.

Nottingham Forest player ratings
Matz Sels – 6
Couldn’t do much at all for Lewis’ opener, but was caught in no man’s land for City’s second. Made some decent saves, barring that.
Zach Abbott – 6
The youngster can come away from Wembley with his head held high. He kept the likes of Omar Marmoush and Jack Grealish relatively quiet on the right flank. He also made a number of goal-saving blocks and challenges.
Nikola Milenkovic – 5
Man City’s slow, methodical approach meant that the Serbian couldn’t really make his mark on the game at all.
Murillo – 5
An unusually sloppy performance from the Brazilian. He was quite poor on the ball and was also outjumped by Josko Gvardiol for City’s second.
Harry Toffolo – 5
Toffolo was caught sleeping for City’s opener, being too slow in reacting to Lewis’ sharp turn. Williams’ athleticism was dearly missed on the left-hand side.
Nicolas Dominguez – 4
Dominguez seemed like he was chasing shadows most of the afternoon. He was also quite poor in possession, something that costs you dearly against the likes of Manchester City.
Danilo – 4
Struggled to get to grips with the movement of the City midfield, particularly that of Lewis. The Brazilian was absent in possession aswell, only touching the ball 18 times in the first half. He was rightfully substituted at half-time.

Callum Hudson-Odoi – 5
Made a very lacklustre start to the game and failed to give Forest any sort of outlet going forward.
Morgan Gibbs-White – 6
Forest’s skipper on the day, Gibbs-White, showed a lot of heart and desire. The midfielder was one of the few players to show some real quality on the ball. He was extremely unlucky not to score in the second half.
Elliot Anderson – 5
Anderson worked tirelessly down the left-hand flank, helping Toffolo out in defence. He was, however, pretty ineffective going forward.
Chris Wood – 5
The striker worked his socks off up top but never really got the service he deserved. Rightfully replaced midway through the second half.
Subs
Anthony Elanga – 6
Ibrahim Sangare – 5
Taiwo Awoniyi – 5
Jota Silva – 5
Ramon Sosa – 5
