Nottingham Forest missed the opportunity to go level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea on Monday evening.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were held to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace on Monday evening, leaving them two points adrift of the Champions League spots.

Forest fans were highly critical of Morgan Gibbs-White’s performance, as he hardly made any impact at all.

Murillo was forced off through injury in the second half, joining Callum Hudson-Odoi on the sidelines, so it was a pretty disappointing evening for Nottingham Forest.

And, speaking post-match, Nuno issued an update on Murillo’s injury.

Nuno provides injury update on Murillo

Nottingham Forest were second best against Palace until Murillo levelled with a smart finish past Dean Henderson.

But, when the Brazilian went off, the momentum shifted back in favour of Oliver Glasner’s men, evincing just how big a miss he’ll be.

Nuno has now provided an update on Murillo’s condition.

“Only scans can show. He’s in pain but let’s assess him,” the Forest boss told Sky Sports.

Jamie Carragher reckons Murillo will be fine

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher is convinced Murillo’s injury isn’t too serious after watching him laughing and joking at the full-time whistle.

“You don’t ordinarily go to a game to watch a centre-back, but I’m sure Forest fans go to watch Murillo. He’s meant that finish,” Carragher explained.

“I think he’s ok. That’s such a heavy limp, it’s exaggerated. He’s just been laughing and joking. I can guarantee he will be fine for next week…”

Forest are back in action on Sunday, as they take on East Midlands rivals Leicester City at the City Ground.
