Ola Aina has become a fan favourite since arriving at Nottingham Forest in 2023.

Temitayo Olufisayo Olaoluwa “Ola” Aina is currently 28 years old at the time of writing. He was born on October 8th 1996.

Aina is English, having been in Southwark, London. He is also of Nigerian descent, though, and has represented the Super Eagles on 40 occasions.

Ola Aina’s parents, Olufemi and Esther, were born in Nigeria and later moved to London in the hope of giving their family a better life.

Aina began his playing career at the famous Chelsea academy, first joining the Cobham youth setup aged 11.

The defender would work his way up the ranks, eventually making his senior Blues debut under Antonio Conte in 2016.

The Nigerian would end up going out on loan in search of first-team minutes, enjoying two successful spells at Championship side Hull City and Italian outfit Torino.

Aina’s performances in the Serie A would end up persuading the Turin outfit to buy him permanently in the summer of 2019.

His time at Torino would bring mixed success, spending a year on loan back in his native London with Fulham during the 2020/21 season.

Following Aina’s release from Torino in 2023, Nottingham Forest would come calling and sign him on a free transfer.
