Nottingham Forest suffered a 1-0 to Chelsea on the final day of the Premier League season.
It confirms Nottingham Forest’s seventh-place finish, thus missing out on qualification to the Champions League and Europa League.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will ply their trade in the UEFA Conference League next term, which is still a commendable achievement.
It was a game which lacked real quality this afternoon, but Levi Colwill’s goal separated the two sides at the City Ground.
Forest fans had a lot to say about captain Morgan Gibbs-White.

Nottingham Forest fans slam Morgan Gibbs-White after Chelsea defeat
Nottingham Forest fans were very critical of Gibbs-White’s display against Chelsea on X, formerly known as Twitter.
In fact, many agreed that he should leave for Manchester City in the summer.
@swerve_dec joked: “Why didn’t Nuno start Gibbs-White?”
@ForestNotSoMag posted: “Who’s driving Gibbs-White to Manchester?”
“Gibbs white has been awful again. So inconsistent,” @NFFC_02 commented.
“Get that armband off MGW, give it to someone that will get our lads going,” @swerve_dec added.
@AmyMcRogers15 said: “I’ll say it again MGW massively overrated.”
“With MGW performing like this, id give 50m + MGW for James McAtee,” @ForestNotSoMag added.
Latest on Gibbs-White’s future
Manchester City have intensified their interest in Gibbs-White in recent weeks.
It’s being reported that Forest are set to agree a £70m fee to sell Gibbs-White, so that may well have been his final game in a red shirt.
All eyes turn towards his potential successor, and Man City’s James McAtee is being linked with a move to the City Ground.
McAtee could cost around £35m, which would allow the rest of the Gibbs-White sale to go on other areas.
A striker is high up on Espirito Santo’s list of priorities, with Liam Delap of interest to Forest chiefs.
