Nottingham Forest News can exclusively reveal how the club feel about letting Jota Silva leave the City Ground this summer.

Silva has been touted with a move away from Forest after spending his maiden campaign in England on the fringes of the first team on Trentside.

The 25-year-old featured in 38 matches across the campaign, scoring four goals and claiming three assists, but just five starts came his way in the Premier League.

Silva might have fancied starting more games during his first season at Forest, but with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga in fine form, he’s been forced into playing a waiting game.

Nottingham Forest relaxed over the future of Jota Silva

Although the winger might have craved more time on the pitch, Nottingham Forest News have been exclusively told by Graeme Bailey how the land lies with Silva.

It’s understood that Forest are relatively happy with Silva at the moment when it comes to his performance levels.

However, with Forest in the market for wingers, he will likely have to play a peripheral role again next season, and it’s whether or not that is something that floats his boat.

Furthermore, it’s been suggested to us that the fact that Danilo is being linked with a Forest exit highlights that no reasonable offer will be instantly dismissed for players who aren’t considered regular starters.

Nottingham Forest set to sign Igor Jesus

Jesus waved goodbye to Botafogo last night, and although he will play for the club at the Club World Cup, he won’t be featuring for them in Brazil again.

The 24-year-old is due to sign terms with Forest after saying no to the Reds and Arsenal back in January.

Jesus will provide competition in the attack for Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi, with Nuno Espirito Santo clearly keen to bolster his firepower.

Wingers are now going to be the order of the day, with Jesus representing a very solid piece of business for Forest to kick off the summer with.
