Nottingham Forest have finally reached a decision on the future of Harry Toffolo after weeks of speculation.
The Reds are in the market for a number of players this summer, but several current Forest players have seen their contracts run to a conclusion.
Igor Jesus will sign for Forest. He’s waved his goodbyes to the Botafogo supporters, and after the Club World Cup, he will check in at the City Ground.
Toffolo, along with Willy Boly and Wayne Hennessey, are now technically out of contract, and when it comes to the left-back, the club have made their final decision.

Nottingham Forest make Harry Toffolo announcement and fans are in total agreement
It’s perhaps unsurprising that Forest have made the decision to release Toffolo after three seasons playing for the club.
Nuno Espirito Santo is going to move on from the left-back this summer, with his final game coming at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.
Fans have naturally taken to social media in the aftermath of his departure, and the fan base totally agrees on Toffolo.
Another fan said: “Very few have given more in our colours over the past three years. Great servant.”
Another fan was keen to pay tribute and said: “Love Harry Toffolo. The dictionary definition of a top professional. And some great work in the community on mental health, especially. Go well, Toff.”
One Forest fan was seriously upset at the news, saying: “Sad to see Toff leave, an excellent leader, personality and role model. Wish him well in the future, and will be a huge asset at his next club.”
Finally, another fan wrote: “Sorry to see Harry go. A great ambassador for the club, stepped up when we needed you and always gave 100%. Good luck for the future, and you’ll be welcome back at Nottingham Forest any time.”
Forest need a new left-back next season
Toffolo’s departure, along with Alex Moreno returning to Aston Villa after his loan, leaves Forest needing a left-back.
Neco Williams played in that position last season, but Espirito Santo will undoubtedly be looking to get another option in place at left-back.
Having a left-footer would be ideal, and the fact that Forest have been linked with Cuiabano from Botafogo does make perfect sense.
Toffolo goes with Forest’s best wishes and it will now be interesting to see where he ends up playing next season.
