Nottingham Forest recently announced that Nuno Espirito Santo had signed a new contract with the club.
The Forest head coach has been in place for 18 months after arriving at the City Ground in December 2023, shortly after Steve Cooper had been handed his papers.
Espirito Santo has set about changing the culture at Forest, and after overseeing survival in 2023/24, he led Forest to a seventh-place finish last season and a place in the UEFA Conference League.
Forest will set about strengthening the playing squad now that Espirito Santo is tied to a new deal, and the hope will be that a number of new faces can come in.

Callum Hudson-Odoi reacts to Nuno Espirito Santo signing new contract
The Forest winger was in fine form last season, with Hudson-Odoi attracting interest from Napoli.
However, it seems as though the Forest man is only focused on playing for the Reds next season, praising the decision to give Espirito Santo a new deal.
He told Sky Sports: “I think he’s done amazing work since he came in, and I think everyone is really happy. The players and the staff, and the fans will all be really happy, and hopefully, we can move on and do more successful things, and we’re all delighted he’s signed a new contract.
“He’s a great manager and a great person to speak to as well, you can have good conversations with him, he makes everyone feel good, making sure we’re ready for games and for training so he’s a very nice person to speak to and he really gets the best out of us, you know.
“It’s amazing, you can see how we play, we like to get it forward quickly and run and get the ball forward, so I’m enjoying my time playing with the boys, it was a great season last season, and hopefully we can build on it.”
Forest must give Hudson-Odoi a new contract
After falling out of favour at Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi has revived his career at Forest with two superb seasons, where he’s proved his fitness and played some quality football.
This time next year, Hudson-Odoi will be out of contract and Forest simply can’t afford for him to walk away for free.
With Napoli and Manchester United linked with the player in recent weeks, the interest is clearly rife, and it’s vital that Forest do something about it.
It’s positive that Hudson-Odoi doesn’t appear to be hinting at any sort of departure this summer, and hopefully, he can keep scoring goals and playing well in the Forest team with Europe on the cards next season.
