Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White faces an uncertain future.
Morgan Gibbs-White was due to undergo his Tottenham Hotspur medical earlier this week, but Nottingham Forest have put the brakes on that transfer.
Forest have lodged a complaint about Tottenham Hotspur as they believe Gibbs-White was illegally approached.
Anyhow, there is an expectancy that the England international will eventually complete a £60m move to the North Londoners, who have already activated his release clause.
Forest have identified Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey as his potential replacement and fans have had a lot to say about that transfer rumour on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Nottingham Forest fans react to Jacob Ramsey potentially replacing Morgan Gibbs-White
Nottingham Forest fans have had their say on the Ramsey links, and it’s fair to say they’re completely on board with the potential addition.
“Jacob Ramsey would be a top signing. Yes please,” @BrummieTricky posted.
“First good link we’ve had all summer. Bring,” @jaacknffc commented.
“Don’t care what anyone says Ramsey is an upgrade on MGW,” @joeyroey8 claimed.
@NFFC_Callum said: “Really hope this happens I rate Ramsey highly always looks so lively when I see him play please just pay what they want lads.”
“Wow. I can get behind this. Would that be pure profit for Villa too? PSR etc,” @PackzNFFC asked.
@domthered added: “I forgot about Jacob Ramsey didn’t see much of him play last season but yes I’d take him for sure!”
@nffc_jayden said: “I think Forest 100% look into Jacob Ramsey and Trossard, both really good. Trossard is the man who’s right place right time sort of thing. Ramsey’s style is quite like Elanga’s, relatively quick and good with his feet. Perfect.”
Steven Gerrard convinced Ramsey will be an England international
Steven Gerrard, speaking back in 2022 , labelled Ramsey a ‘top talent’ and predicted him to become an England international.
“I know the level of the England players, I’ve been around it, and have enough experience to know it’s only a matter of time, but let’s all be sensible and keep calm about it,” Gerrard explained.
“I want him to make his own headlines with his football. He is a top talent, I’m loving every moment of working with him. He is getting stronger with each game because we’re giving him the platform to express himself. He is in a wonderful place.”
Clearly, Gerrard’s opinion on midfielders holds a lot of weight, so it amplifies what a tremendous signing this would be for Forest, if they can pull it off.
