Nottingham Forest are looking for new players across the board this summer, with Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha being added to the ranks so far.

Nuno Espirito Santo will want a stronger squad next season, with UEFA Conference League football on the horizon for the 2025/26 campaign.

Anthony Elanga has been sold to Newcastle, whilst Ramon Sosa, Danilo and Andrew Omobamidele have all been offloaded during the window so far.

When it comes to new recruits, Dan Ndoye has been linked with Forest and it would appear that some depth is now being sourced for the full-back areas.

Nottingham Forest to make £10m bid for Jackson Tchatchoua

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Forest are going to return with a bid of £10 million for the defender after seeing a bid of £8 million rejected earlier this month.

The issue Forest might have now, however, is that AC Milan are pushing to sign him too, following his performances for Verona last season.

Inter and Napoli have also seen something they like in Tchatchoua and clearly, there is something to like about the right-sided defender.

During the 2024/25 campaign, Tchatchoua was almost ever-present for Verona, scoring two goals and claiming three assists in 37 appearances.

Tchatchoua would represent a risk-free signing

It’s hard to pretend we’ve seen a lot of Tchatchoua in action but you only have to look at the club from Italy linked with him to understand that he can play.

At 23-years-old, the Cameroon international is at an age where he could still improve and perhaps crucially, he can play on both sides of the defence.

Tchatchoua has made 10 appearances for the national team and he might now be on his way to England to embark on a new chapter of his career.

Forest will have to up the ante a little bit but if they can close a deal for around £10 million, he would represent a player who is relatively risk-free and could provide adequate backup for Neco Williams and Ola Aina.
