Nottingham Forest were held to a goalless draw by Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah at the City Ground on Saturday evening.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have now completed their pre-season preparations ahead of the new 2025/26 Premier League season.
It hasn’t been the most encouraging summer, with Nottingham Forest scoring just one goal across their seven games.
- Nottingham Forest 0-0 Chesterfield
- Nottingham Forest 0-0 Monaco
- Nottingham Forest 0-3 Fulham
- Nottingham Forest 0-0 Estoril
- Nottingham Forest 0-1 Birmingham
- Nottingham Forest 0-0 Fiorentina

That’s sparked a lot of debate on X, formerly known as Twitter, and here’s what they’ve had to say after another dull encounter.

Nottingham Forest fans react to Al-Qadsiah draw
Forest supporters voiced their concerns after another poor showing going forward, and questions are beginning to be asked.
“I said we need 10 in at the start of the window & I stand by that. Gunn, Jair, Jesus & Ndoye in meaning we need 6 more and they simply must be of a quality that improves this squad depth. We cannot go into a European campaign with all the rigours of it with a weak squad,” @forestmad80 posted.
@rentfreejt added: “Played 1 prem team in pre season conceded 3 goals don’t want to hear at least we ain’t conceding goals anyone with half a brain starts to panic at this point! We need 4 players in next week! The bench is poor and so is Yates!
“Thank f— pre-season is over. Lots of positives to take from it all, despite the results, but the lack of goals does have me a little bit nervous. Worried about the depth more than anything. As soon as we make a sub the game is dead. Can’t wait for Brentford though,” @beags_nffc admitted.
@hannahforest even said: ” I think Nuno is on borrowed time…”
Nottingham Forest have a lot of business to do
It’s become pretty evident that Forest still have a lot of work left to do in the summer transfer market, which slams shut on September 1.
Espirito Santo and his chiefs are exploring a number of deals, with Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman being linked to the City Ground.
Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz is also on Forest’s radar, however, that deal appears to have hit a standstill at the moment.
Strasbourg’s exciting winger Dilane Bakwa is another one Nuno’s shortlist, so there are plenty of options out there.
