Nottingham Forest may have had a busy summer when it came to improving their first-team, but they are still looking to complete deals at the academy level.

The City Ground has seen a lot of new faces this summer. If all deals pull through, they’ll have signed 12 players for Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.

There was some deadline day disappointment for Forest, but that has not stopped the club working on more deals.

Attention has now turned to the Nottingham Forest academy, and the club are looking to snap up a highly rated midfielder.

The player was wanted by multiple top clubs, and Forest are attempting to snap him up now.

The Tricky Trees academy has grown from strength to strength over the last couple of years, as more emphasis has been put on the youth set-up.

Since promotion to the top flight, Forest have been able to compete in the Premier League 2, the youth league for England’s top clubs, after getting Category One status.

It has enabled them to create a much better development path for their younger talents, and that might be about to pay off.

Nottingham Forest are attempting to sign West Ham youth player Chinaza Nwosu according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Nwosu has represented England in three different age groups, playing for the under 15s, under 16s, and under 17s.

He has also featured 31 times for West Ham’s under 18s over the last three seasons.

Chinaza Nwosu is highly rated and wanted by multiple clubs in the past

The 17-year-old is a highly rated talent, and previously O’Rourke has reported that Manchester United, Manchester City, and Tottenham were chasing his signature.

However, the player decided to stay at West Ham at the time, signing a professional contract with the Hammers.

If Forest are able to capture the signing of the midfielder, it would certainly be a coup for the club.

At this stage in his career, a deal would see him integrate into the youth set-up first rather than joining up with the first team.

But nonetheless, it would be an exciting deal if it happens.
