Nottingham Forest signed a whopping 13 players in the summer transfer window, which has significantly improved the squad.
Evangelos Marinakis has shelled out in excess of £200m on transfer fees, with virtually every area of the squad getting attention.
Nuno Espirito Santo now has depth across the board, which was needed ahead of a congested fixture list due to European commitments.
There is now a very different feel around the City Ground, with the likes of Gary Neville predicting Forest to challenge for Europe again.
Opta’s supercomputer has now given a fresh prediction on where Nottingham Forest will finish in the Premier League this season following the conclusion of the transfer window.

Supercomputer predicts where Nottingham Forest will finish this season
Opta’s supercomputer originally predicted Forest to finish 11th in the Premier League this season, but that was before the influx of new signings.
You would think since the additions of James McAtee, Douglas Luiz, Arnuard Kalimuendo, Dilane Bakwa, Omari Hutchinson, Nicola Savona and Oleksandar Zinchenko, the computer would move them up a few spots in the table.
However, it’s done the opposite, as now Opta reckon Nuno’s side could finish in 14th place, below the likes of Brentford and Crystal Palace.
The computer expects Forest to accumulate 48 points, which is 17 behind the tally they achieved with a weaker squad last term.
Nottingham Forest should challenge for Europe again
In any case where a club finishes seventh and then outlays over £200m on 13 new players, the expectation would be to go one better and get into the top six.
That’ll certainly be what Marinakis and his chiefs are hopeful of achieving this season, although, if they triumph in the Europa League, there would likely be an acceptance of a lower league finish.
Forest actually have the most valuable squad in the Europa League, according to Transfermarkt, above the likes of Aston Villa, Roma and Porto.
So they will be among the favourites to win the competition, which is pretty remarkable and shows what an incredible job has been done by the management team and at board level.
Certainly exciting times ahead for the East Midlanders.
