Nottingham Forest’s predicted XI vs Burnley as Ange Postecoglou makes three changes

Ange Postecoglou is still awaiting his first win as Nottingham Forest manager.

Ange Postecoglou has suffered back-to-back defeats, starting with a 3-0 loss at Arsenal before being stunned in the Carabao Cup by Swansea City.

Postecoglou was heard shouting at his Nottingham Forest players in the changing room after the game, so clearly he wants a reaction this weekend.

Nottingham Forest will be the favourites at Turf Moor, with Burnley tipped to go down, however, they are currently just a point above in the Premier League table.

Here is the predicted starting line-up for the clash as the Forest boss makes three changes.

Nottingham Forest predicted XI vs Burnley

Postecoglou could make three changes from the Arsenal game, and perhaps most notably, a full debut for Jair Cunha may be on the horizon.

Murillo remains a doubt for the Burnley game after picking up what was described as a ‘substantial knock’ against Arsenal.

Forest fans were really impressed by Cunha against Swansea, so the young Brazilian may actually get the nod to start this weekend.

Douglas Luiz was also excellent and could replace Ibrahim Sangare in midfield, partnering Elliot Anderson.

The other change may come at left-back after Morato’s horror show at Arsenal, so Oleksandr Zinchenko is expected to start.

Nottingham Forest’s recent meetings vs Burnley

Nottingham Forest’s last five meetings against Burnley actually date all the way back to 2015, as they’ve often missed each other in the Premier League with relegations in between.

It’s Burnley who have the better of the recent meetings, having only conceded defeat on one occasion, which was the last time these two sides faced each other.

Chris Wood scored a brace against his former club that day, so he’ll certainly fancy himself ahead of Saturday’s game.

The Clarets head into the clash off the back of a really encouraging performance against Liverpool, who had to score a stoppage-time penalty to win.

So it won’t be an easy game for the Tricky Trees.
