Nottingham Forest defeated Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield on Saturday, with the Reds securing a second successive victory at the home of the reigning champions.
Goals from Murillo, Nicolo Savona and Morgan Gibbs-White helped the Reds climb out of the Premier League’s relegation zone.
Sean Dyche has enjoyed a really positive start to life at the City Ground, and it’s now two wins and a draw from the last three Premier League matches he’s overseen.
After such an emphatic performance, Gibbs-White was hailed, and now BBC Sport pundit Troy Deeney has picked the player he felt led by example.

What Troy Deeney has said about Murillo
It’s still outrageous to think that Forest only paid £10.6 million to sign Brazilian defender Murillo from Corinthians.
He didn’t completely convince Steve Cooper straight away, but after making his debut in October 2023, he’s been a virtual ever-present in the Premier League ever since.
Deeney was extremely impressed with the defender on Saturday and admitted that it was quite a shock to see him score and Forest win.
He told BBC Sport: “You’d have been a crazy Forest fan to say ‘Murillo will score and we’ll beat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield’. You’d have got massive odds on that. He was excellent. He’s becoming a powerhouse. He can really be a handful. I’m happy to see him playing like last season.”
Murillo stats vs Liverpool
The 23-year-old was in fine form against the reigning champions, and perhaps they might be realising exactly which centre-back they need to sign to replace Virgil van Dijk at some point.
Murillo looks likely to leave Forest at some point, and hopefully, the Reds will be able to command a huge fee when the time does come for one of the bigger clubs to pounce.

However, this win could become a bit of a catalyst for Forest to kick on in the Premier League, and the remit for Dyche is to steer the club clear of relegation trouble.
Murillo is capable of adding goals to his game now, and after bagging against Liverpool, he will now hope to remain on the trail and keep chipping in with important moments.
