Nottingham Forest thrashed Malmö 3-0 at the City Ground to bolster the chances of a top-eight finish in the Europa League.
Ryan Yates, Arnaud Kalimuendo and Nikola Milenkovic scored the goals on a night when Forest might fancy that they should have scored more goals.
Sean Dyche was happy to get through the game with a big three points and now attention will quickly turn towards Sunday’s home game with Brighton.
A rotated squad was picked for the visit of the opposition, who were beaten by Forest in the 1979 European Cup final, and the game provided vital minutes for a host of players keen to impress.

Brian Laws delighted for Nottingham Forest player vs Malmo
Laws was on co-commentary duties for BBC Radio Nottingham and naturally he was delighted to see some of the fringe players get much-needed minutes.
One player who he was happy for was Kalimuendo, who bagged his maiden goal since checking in from Rennes during the summer transfer window.
The player was handed a rare start for the Reds and didn’t let his team down when he was on hand to tap home from a Ryan Yates head that was saved.
Laws said: “I’m so pleased for him! Tonight is as good of a night as he is going to get to score a goal – that might give him some confidence going forward now.”
Kalimuendo can now kick on at Forest
It’s never easy coming to a new club, never mind one that goes through three managers in the first three months of the Premier League season.
As a result, Kalimuendo will need a bit of time, and he grasped his chance to start the game against Malmo by tapping home his first goal for the club.
Now, the challenge for the Frenchman is to keep grasping the opportunities that come in his direction, and it would appear as though Dyche will give him plenty of minutes.
It’s never nice to see a striker play a waiting game to get his first goal for a new club, and now Kalimuendo will be hoping to remain on the goal trail as the season approaches a busy period.
