Nottingham Forest came crashing back down to earth with a 3-0 defeat at Everton as the Sean Dyche bounce well and truly wore off.
There was little to shout about for Forest at the Hill Dickinson Stadium from the moment Nikola Milenkovic put through his own goal inside two minutes.
Thierno Barry and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored additional goals, and in fairness, it’s tough to remember too many clear-cut chances for Forest to score.
After the game, something rather alarming has come to light, and ahead of two big games this week, it’s something that Dyche really has to rectify quickly.

Nottingham Forest statistic needs rectifying by Dyche
Forest overhauled their squad during the summer transfer window, with a number of players being added to the ranks, with European football looming large.
However, although the squad feels stronger on paper, it’s quite clear that it’s not working for the team on the pitch when it comes to any real sort of impact.
That is highlighted by the fact that with 15 games of the season gone, Forest are yet to see one of their substitutes score during a Premier League game.
Both Manchester United and Everton can match that feat too, and Dyche needs more from the players that he’s picking to sit on the bench in his team.
Who was the most disappointing Nottingham Forest player vs Everton?
Forest are firmly in trouble
The January transfer window really can’t come soon enough, and if the Reds aren’t going to get players back from their respective injury issues, then something is going to have to give.
Chris Wood has been sorely missed this season, and that has seen the goals dry up, with Igor Jesus doing pretty well in Europe, but only bagging once in the Premier League.
A lack of fight on Saturday was evident, with Forest seemingly unable to muster up too many chances at goal against an Everton side now eyeing up a place in Europe next season.
Dyche might well have his biggest ever fight on his hands in his managerial career and with Utrecht and Tottenham to play this week, he desperately needs an improved showing in terms of performance levels.
Dyche can’t physically stick the ball in the net, but for the players chomping at the bit to play who are currently on the bench, it’s time they started impacting games more, rolling their sleeves up and proving they deserve a start.
