Nottingham Forest have discovered who they will face in the FA Cup third round after the draw on Monday night.

The Reds are 17th in the Premier League after struggling for consistency so far this season, and the FA Cup might provide a welcome distraction.

Forest will play Wrexham of the Championship in the third round, locking horns with the team who have been riding the crest of a wave with famous owners in recent years.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have overseen a number of promotions in recent years, and this year the Red Dragons are fighting for a place in the play-offs.

Forest have only ever faced Wrexham three times, with the last meeting coming back in 1993 when the Reds ran out 3-1 victors in the second leg of a League Cup tie.

Forest will travel to Wrexham in early January and given that the two teams haven’t met for a number of years, the television cameras might well pick the game up.

Who was the most disappointing Nottingham Forest player vs Everton?

Forest have a number of vital games to come before they face off against Wrexham, and it remains to be seen just how seriously the Reds will take the FA Cup this season.

The Reds fans will want things to be taken seriously after reaching the Wembley semifinal last year before losing 2-0 to Manchester City.
