Nottingham Forest are currently trying to balance European football with the rigorous demands of a Premier League campaign.

The Reds, led by Sean Dyche, won in Utrecht on Thursday to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the last 16 of the competition.

Last weekend’s 3-0 defeat to Everton has set the alarm bells ringing in the Premier League, however, and it’s important to try and bounce back against Tottenham today.

With Forest trying to climb the Premier League table, one of their former strikers is now attempting to win a contract with a rival club.

Michail Antonio on trial with Leicester City

Antonio was raving about Callum Hudson-Odoi on Thursday night, and now it’s been claimed that he’s on trial with Leicester as he looks to get back into the professional game.

A car accident ended any hopes he had of earning a new deal with West Ham, and earlier this season, Antonio left the club after making a couple of appearances with the club’s under-21 outfit.

Now, John Percy has claimed that Leicester are taking a look at Antonio after taking him on trial and might be prepared to offer him a contract.

Antonio scored 83 goals and claimed 43 assists in 323 games for West Ham, becoming the Hammers’ top goalscorer in the Premier League era in the process.

Antonio was box office at Forest

Antonio’s time at Forest ended in sad circumstances, with the forward deciding he wasn’t in the right frame of mind to play for the club at a turbulent time for Forest.

However, his form under Stuart Pearce, who signed him for Forest, and Dougie Freedman during the 2014/15 campaign was utterly sensational.

😍19 goals and 13 assists for Michail Antonio in a little over a season for Nottingham Forest

Was the forward the best one-season wonder we've ever had? Let us know in the comments below…👇

Furthermore, he’s spoken really fondly of Forest since his departure and between him and the fan base, it does seem as though there are no hard feelings.

Antonio scored 19 goals and claimed 13 assists from his 54 games for the Reds, and it’s a shame that more couldn’t be done to keep him on Trentside.

Not many players have made the significant impact that he did at Forest in such a short space of time and at £2.5 million, he has to go down as one of the best one-season wonders ever seen at the City Ground.
