Sean Dyche gave a big hint that he really doesn’t fancy one Nottingham Forest player vs Fulham

Nottingham Forest were beaten 1-0 by Fulham as Raul Jimenez’s first-half penalty proved enough for all three points.

It consigned Forest to another defeat on the road and did nothing to improve the mood of the supporters, with the club still looking over their shoulder this season.

Forest conceded the penalty in first-half stoppage time, and frankly, the second-half performance simply wasn’t good enough to suggest that everything will be just fine this season.

Dyche got his substitutes badly wrong on the night, and for one player, it might prove to be the final nail in the coffin.

Arnaud Kalimuendo has every right to be fuming with Sean Dyche

When six minutes of injury time went onto the board from the fourth official, Dyche decided that then was the right time to put Kalimuendo on the pitch.

The time to stick the Frenchman into the action was surely 20 minutes earlier, when Taiwo Awoniyi was inexplicably called into action by Dyche.

Awoniyi’s performance saw him flagged offside three times when there was no need to be and he barely touched the ball in a constructive manner throughout.

Frankly, his performance was poor and ultimately, the Reds’ head coach has to take a long, hard look at himself over why he made that particular substitute.

It’s coming up to a year since Awoniyi last scored in the Premier League and not putting Kalimuendo on for a proper chance will have him seriously knocking on the door.

Kalimuendo has every right to ask to leave

The striker was a big-money signing from Rennes, and despite the fact that Forest needed a goal, he wasn’t summoned from the bench until the time was severely restricted.

Kalimuendo will now seriously be considering his future, surely when it comes to the early stages of his time at Forest.

He’s scored two goals in two games in the Europa League but after failing to get off the bench last week in the win over Tottenham, he will now surely be questioning why he was given just six minutes against Fulham.

Frankly, Kalimuendo deserves much better and with City and Everton to come on home soil, it’s time that Dyche answered whether he’s truly unconvinced by the striker.
