Nottingham Forest are hoping to sign some new players before the transfer window closes next month.
The Reds will hope to have at least one new face in the ranks, but two or three does feel more likely, with some also set to leave the City Ground.
Arnaud Kalimuendo has already signed for Eintracht Frankfurt on loan for the remainder of the season, and that has left Forest somewhat short in attack.
Taiwo Awoniyi hasn’t scored for over a year in the Premier League, whilst Igor Jesus has just one goal in the league this season, with seven others coming in cup competitions.
As a result, a new striker is the order of the day for Forest before the window slams shut, with the Reds now stepping up their attempts to get someone over the line.

Nottingham Forest make contact with Jorgen Strand Larsen
Reputable transfer journalist Pete O’Rourke has now claimed on the Inside Track podcast that Forest have made contact with Strand Larsen’s representatives over a possible transfer this month.
It’s believed that a deal might drag on, with Wolves keen to see what position they find themselves in towards the end of the month, having picked up in recent weeks.
Jorgen Strand Larsen eyed by Nottingham Forest but would YOU take him at the club?
Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
Strand Larsen scored a hat-trick in a 6-1 mauling of Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup, with the Norwegian valued in the region of £40 million by his current club.
Forest are looking for a striker with Chris Wood out injured and showing no signs of a return any time soon, with Strand Larsen identified as an ideal alternative.
Strand Larsen would be brilliant Forest signing
The player would come to the club on the back of a hat-trick and a 14-goal season during 2024/25 when he helped Wolves pull clear of the relegation zone.
This season has been a bit more frustrating for him, but it’s fair to say that the player possesses similar qualities to Wood, and that could make him the ideal striker signing.

The Wolves man is heavily linked with Forest
At 25, Strand Larsen could still improve as a player and he has the potential to come in, make an immediate impact and make sure Forest stay up pretty comfortably this season.
With Jesus and Awoniyi not prolific, Forest need someone to come in this month, otherwise it could be a struggle to remain in the Premier League this season.
