Nuno Espirito Santo departed Nottingham Forest in September, and since then, the Reds have been on a downward spiral.
Ange Postecoglou came in and oversaw eight winless games in all competitions, with Sean Dyche picking up the baton following a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea.
Espirito Santo finished seventh with Forest last season, but a falling out with Edu saw his position become untenable and he’s now in charge of West Ham.
Forest found a way past the Hammers on Tuesday night to go seven points clear of Espirito Santo’s men in the Premier League table.
After the game, reports have now suggested that the boss did something that has seriously disappointed the West Ham board of directors.

How Nuno Espirito Santo upset the West Ham board
With just two wins from 14 games, Espirito Santo is clinging to his job for dear life, and the writing might already be on the wall for the former Forest boss.
Forest won 2-1 at The London Stadium to go seven points clear of the Hammers, and after the game, Espirito Santo stepped onto the pitch to enjoy a warm embrace with the Forest players he managed last season.
According to The Guardian, West Ham’s board of directors were not particularly happy with that from their manager, especially given what was at stake during the contest.
West Ham face Tottenham and Sunderland in quick succession next and failing to win either of those games could spell the end of Espirito Santo’s time at the club.
Forest can compound more misery on the Hammers in the coming weeks by winning more games and the hope will be that the Reds can start to climb up the table.
Forest would dearly love Espirito Santo back
After qualifying for Europe last season, Espirito Santo should be the man leading the team into that competition this season and looking to build on a seventh place finish in the Premier League too.
Instead, Forest are playing boring football with Sean Dyche at the helm and fans are growing deeply frustrated with how things are going at the club.
Edu’s position is now under threat at Forest and that merely makes a mockery of his spat with Espirito Santo, with fans clearly happy to see him depart and the former boss come back – if that was even a possibility.
Would you take Nuno Espirito Santo back at Nottingham Forest?
Forest need something to work, in order to gain some consistency, but it does feel as though with Dyche in charge, he will see staying in the Premier League as a roaring success when that shouldn’t be the case.
Espirito Santo’s antics haven’t gone down too well with the West Ham faithful and given how the Forest players reacted at the end of the game last week, perhaps he would be welcome back in the dressing room at the City Ground.
