Nottingham Forest were beaten 3-1 by Leeds to ensure another miserable showing against a team directly around the Reds in the Premier League.
The Leeds performance was pretty much a carbon copy of the two games against Everton, and the ones against Fulham and Aston Villa away, where Sean Dyche set Forest up not to lose.
Dyche is clinging to his Forest job by a thread, and anything other than a win over Wolves on Wednesday night is likely to be viewed as unacceptable by the powers that be.
The Forest squad is massively underachieving this season, and the Reds have been told that they have a player in their squad capable of going all the way to the top.
😪Sum up that SHOCKING Nottingham Forest performance in three words!
Truly embarrassing!
Lorenzo Lucca told he could be a top player
For a while, it felt as though Forest might miss out on Lucca, with other Serie A clubs vying to try and sign him ahead of the Reds.
However, Forest did manage to get a deal to land him over the line, and he bagged his first goal for the Reds on his debut against Leeds after stepping off the bench.
Gianluca Nani managed to sign Lucca for Udinese at the start of last season, with the striker scoring 14 goals during that particular loan spell.
He’s now spoken to Tutto Mercato Web regarding Lucca and he believes it’s only a matter of time before he truly takes off on the big stage.
He said: “I believe it’s just a matter of time now.
“He’s gone to the Premier League, which is one of the best leagues. I’m certain he’ll find a way to establish himself – he has all the right attributes.
“You don’t get called up to the national team by chance.”
Lucca should start vs Wolves
With a goal in his maiden Forest outing, Lucca is now just one behind the Premier League total of Igor Jesus and perhaps it’s time for a change.
Who was the worst Nottingham Forest player vs Leeds?
Omari Hutchinson delivered a stunning delivery for the goal and ultimately, starting the two of them against Wolves appears like the logical thing to do.
Wolves were pretty suspect at defending balls into the box when Forest beat them 1-0 at Molineux earlier this season, and that is surely food for thought for Dyche.
Lucca showed a great desire to get in possession of the ball on Friday night, and the hope will now be that he can start the game and thrive against the bottom club in the Premier League.
