The Premier League relegation battle is heating up with Nottingham Forest still bang in trouble.

A win for West Ham tonight against Fulham would see the Hammers climb out of the relegation zone at the expense of Forest if the Reds can’t get anything from Manchester City.

Vitor Pereira has lost three games on the trot in all competitions, and it looks set to be a fourth this evening against title-chasing City.

Pundits and experts are starting to have their say on the relegation battle, and now Ian Wright has delivered his verdict on how Forest will perform.

Ian Wright thinks Forest will stay up

It looks set to go down to the wire for Forest and with West Ham picking up some results of late, things are getting really nervy for the Reds.

However, Wright believes that Forest will have enough to dig themselves out of trouble when discussing the fight for survival on Premier League Productions.

He said: “I think that West Ham have got a little bit of something.

“I feel like, but then you look at West Ham, you look at their financial problems, you look at if they do get relegated, then it’s going to be a whole different ballgame because they’ve got problems, even without relegation.

“So I think, you know, when I think about it, I think Forest may sneak out.”

Forest could drop into the bottom three tonight, and if they do that, they will hope to also beat Fulham next time out in the Premier League, with City facing West Ham in the capital.

Wright spent a short time on loan at Forest during his playing career and clearly, there might be a hopeful element to his comments on the Reds.

Now, it’s on the players to come through this sticky period and the hope will be that a thrashing can be avoided at City and the Reds can take some positivity into the final nine games of the season.
