Surprise Premier League club linked with Sean Dyche after Nottingham Forest exit

Nottingham Forest sacked Sean Dyche last month, but it would appear that he might be asked to make an immediate return to the Premier League.

Dyche had managed to pull Forest clear of the relegation zone, having been 19th when he took over back in November, but he failed to put daylight between the relegation zone and that cost him his job.

Now, another struggling club have placed Dyche on their list of contingency plans should their current boss fail to revive their fortunes in the coming weeks.

Tottenham put Sean Dyche on transfer shortlist

Tottenham boss Igor Tudor is under pressure after losing his first three games in charge of the club to Arsenal, Fulham and Crystal Palace.

Spurs are just a point above Forest in the Premier League table and face Liverpool away next weekend, looking to claim a big three points and put pressure on the other relegation candidates.

According to TuttoSport in Italy, Dyche is now on the shortlist at Tottenham should they choose to axe Tudor if the results don’t improve in the coming weeks.

Dyche did some good stuff at Forest during his short time at the club, with big wins coming against Liverpool, Tottenham and Brentford.

Ultimately, however, the performances in the games that weren’t won were ridiculously bad, with the fans and the players growing increasingly frustrated.

Tottenham getting Dyche would be boost for Forest

If the Spurs players are willing to down tools for a manager like Thomas Frank, then what chance does Dyche have if he goes in at Tottenham?

Forest staying up would look a lot more likely should Dyche rock up in North London, and as a Premier League boss, he looked out of his depth somewhat at the City Ground.

Forest have to look after themselves now, and the performances under Vitor Pereira have massively improved from when Dyche was in charge.

Hopefully, that drab style of old-fashioned football will soon be on the menu at Tottenham and Dyche going in anytime soon can only aid Forest’s chances of survival.
