Nottingham Forest were held to a goalless draw by Fulham at the City Ground, with Dan Ndoye seeing a goal cruelly disallowed for offside after a VAR check.
Once again, Forest failed to score a goal on home soil, and when it comes to sticking the ball in the net, a real problem is now emerging.

Ndoye hit the back of the net after racing on to a through ball from Neco Williams, but annoyingly, he was thwarted by VAR, who deemed his heel to be fractionally offside.
After the game, Vitor Pereira had his say, and he was extremely satisfied with the performance of Ndoye and of Taiwo Awoniyi, who also came on during the game.

The head coach was extremely proactive with his changes in the game, throwing Ndoye and Omari Hutchinson on at the half-time interval for Callum Hudson-Odoi and Nicolas Dominguez.
It almost paid dividends with Ndoye having a goal chalked off and seemingly winning a penalty, only for the assistant referee’s flag to thwart him in his tracks.
Pereira was impressed and said in his press conference: “We needed to refresh the team to put more energy into it. They are players who are strong one-on-one. Dan Ndoye is fast in the space, and Taiwo was fantastic. This is the spirit I want to see in my players.”

Awoniyi and Ndoye made such an impact from the bench that they simply have to be in the starting eleven for the game against Tottenham next week.
Awoniyi will now get a week’s worth of rest after this game, given that he’s not registered for the Europa League squad for the game on Thursday night.
Both players should be available for next Sunday’s game, and following their impressive cameos that received praise from the head coach, a decision now needs to be made.
