Troy Deeney names Morgan Gibbs-White in Team of the Week
The Forest attacker has been in fine form this season, and he’s now up to 20 goal contributions for the season in all competitions.
Gibbs-White was named in the Team of the Week by Deeney and he delivered a brilliant response when picking him in his selection for the week.
He told BBC Sport: “Very simple, you score a hat-trick – even if it is against Burnley – you’re in the team of the week. Captain’s performance. That’s all that matters.”
Gibbs-White will now hope to stay on the goal trail between now and the end of the season with Forest chasing Premier League survival and European glory.
The Reds have a five-point gap on Tottenham in 18th place and with Forest facing Sunderland on Friday night this weekend, there really is a big chance to kick on.
Gibbs-White is very much the talisman at the City Ground and he can now finish the job and lead his team to safety in the final month of the season.
