Leicester City fans claimed that their 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest in May 2025 stopped the Reds getting Champions League football, but the City Ground supporters have had the last laugh.
Last night, Leicester City were relegated for the second time in succession, and next season will head to luxurious locations like Bromley, Mansfield and Doncaster for domestic fixtures.
Whilst the Foxes have a real hatred for Forest, the Reds maintain that they only hate Derby County, and as a result, there is now a real chance for the powers that be at the City Ground to stick the boot into Leicester’s demise.

Nottingham Forest should snatch Lorenz Hutchinson
Leicester have one of the best training facilities in the country, and that was built in order to attract some top-quality youngsters ahead of other Midlands clubs.
Now, however, Leicester are going to have to raise funds, and that could see the door swing open for the Reds to snare under-18 talent Hutchinson from the clutches of the Foxes.
It was claimed in May 2025 that Forest were monitoring Hutchinson, and now, after 20 goals during the 2025/26 campaign, perhaps the Reds can swoop to bring him to the City Ground.
The 18-year-old is typically a centre-forward, but he has also shown that he has the capabilities to play anywhere across the front three if called upon.
Hutchinson’s future will now naturally come under the spotlight with Leicester relegated to the third tier, despite only winning the Premier League as recently as 2016.
😍Would you take Leicester talent Lorenz Hutchinson at the City Ground?
It’s not clear what fee Forest would have to pay for Hutchinson, but with things now massively up in the air at the King Power Stadium, there is a really golden opportunity to bring the sought-after striker to the Forest academy.
Hutchinson can be future star
The talented teenager looks to have all the attributes to play men’s football at some point in the future, and it would be good to see Forest place emphasis on the next generation.
With Forest struggling for goals from their strikers in the Premier League this season, Hutchinson might feel that it’s the ideal club for him to enjoy a walk on an open pathway towards the senior ranks.
Clearly, Hutchinson is on Forest’s radar, and now, he will almost certainly leave the Foxes during the summer, with the next chapter in his young career not yet clear.
It would be rather amusing if Forest could get Hutchinson from their rivals, and with 26 goals in 35 appearances for the Leicester under-18s, he’d be a very astute signing if the Reds can get it over the line.
