Nottingham Forest are still in the midst of a relegation battle this season despite a 4-1 win over Burnley.

The Reds won courtesy of a Morgan Gibbs-White hat-trick and a goal from Igor Jesus, but with Tottenham playing Wolves this weekend, the five-point gap could soon become much smaller.

Cards on the table – How are you rating Vitor Pereira for his team’s performances since he arrived at Nottingham Forest?

Vitor Pereira will be keen for his team to get as many points on the board as quickly as possible and ensure another season in the Premier League.

Ahead of another crunch week of fixtures, Roy Keane has now had his say on the fight for survival in the Premier League.

Roy Keane thinks Nottingham Forest are going down

The Overlap regulars have changed their mind all season, and Keane is still concerned that Forest remain in the Europa League.

A two-legged semi-final takes place over the next couple of weeks, and Keane believes that it could derail Forest in their quest to remain in the Premier League.

Gary Neville said to Keane: “Who’s going down then now, Roy? Because I don’t think Forest. You said Forest last week.

Keane replied with the honest verdict: “I still think Forest are.

“Because Forest still have a couple of European games.

“I know that was a huge win for them, a great response to go after being 1-0 down. I’m just worried about when they’ve got those games against Villa.”

It would appear that a number of pundits are still looking to write Forest off this season, and when it comes to Keane, that does feel like a bit of a shame.

He starred for Forest as a player and made the Greatest Nottingham Forest XI as part of the 150-year anniversary before returning as an assistant manager to Martin O’Neill.

Ironically, Forest’s better results in recent weeks – the wins over Tottenham and Burnley – have come on the back of European games against Midtjylland and Porto.

Pereira would be wise to stick all of these quotes from pundits on the dressing room wall, with Forest showing some undeniable fight in recent weeks.
