The only Nottingham Forest team Vitor Pereira can possibly pick vs Sunderland is now obvious

Nottingham Forest head to Sunderland looking to put eight points between themselves and Tottenham in the fight for Premier League survival.

Vitor Pereira’s team secured a big three points last Sunday by beating Burnley 4-1 at the City Ground, but there remains work to do.

Forest will see Friday’s game as a huge opportunity to push on in the Premier League, and hopefully, another three points can be secured.

The first half against Burnley was drab beyond belief from a Forest perspective, and now, the starting eleven for the clash with Sunderland looks blatantly clear.

How Nottingham Forest should line up vs Sunderland

Matz Sels will keep his place between the posts as the established number one for Premier League games.

Murillo isn’t fit for the trip to Sunderland, so Jair Cunha will get the chance to start, with Ola Aina, Nikola Milenkovic and Neco Williams all joining the young Brazilian.

Is this how you want Nottingham Forest to line up vs Sunderland?

What changes would you make to this team?

In midfield, Elliot Anderson will be bang up for this game as a devoted Newcastle supporter, and he will be partnered by Ibrahim Sangare in the engine room.

In attack, this is where Pereira can really show supporters that he’s willing to go for it a little bit in the absence of Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Igor Jesus could drop into the number 10 role as he did last weekend against Burnley, with Morgan Gibbs-White going out to the left.

Omari Hutchinson would then keep his place on the right flank, with Chris Wood operating as the lone striker spearheading the Forest attack.

It might be risky to produce that formation and system from the off, but with confidence issues impacting Dilane Bakwa, this looks like the obvious play for the manager.
