Nottingham Forest thrashed Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, with Igor Jesus scoring, assisting and having a second strike taken off him by defender Trai Hume.
This was arguably Jesus’ best performance in the Premier League for Forest, but it still hasn’t proved enough to see him win the Man of the Match accolade.
Jesus has moved onto 15 goals in all competitions this season for Forest, and after a tough first season in the Premier League, there has been light at the end of the tunnel in recent weeks.
Forest are showing real togetherness at the moment, and with Morgan Gibbs-White also scoring another goal for his total this season, it’s perhaps unsurprising that he claimed the Man of the Match accolade.
