Vitor Pereira has done a lot of good work since replacing Sean Dyche as the head coach of Nottingham Forest.

Whatever he’s instilled into the players has paid dividends, with his team now on an unbeaten run of eight matches in all competitions.

Forest are five points clear of the relegation zone in the Premier League with just four matches left to play, and things are really starting to heat up now.

Following last week’s 5-0 win over Sunderland, the analysis rumbles on and one pundit thinks Pereira has been ideal for one Forest star.

Robbie Earle thinks Vitor Pereira has been good for Morgan Gibbs-White

On the latest episode of The 2 Robbies podcast, Earle was quick to hail Gibbs-White for his efforts against Sunderland on Friday night.

He scored and set one up as the Reds won 5-0, and Earle is of the opinion that Pereira has got him back firing on all cylinders since arriving at the club.

He said: “When we talk about under-appreciated player of the week, we’ve got to go for Morgan Gibbs-White.

“He’s been playing at an incredible level, and huge kudos to Vitor Pereira because he’s got him going again.

“It looks like he was on the outside of things for England, and if he keeps playing this way, he could force his way in.

“He’s a great connector between midfield and attack, he can play wide on the left, he can play in the 10, and technically, he’s really strong.

“There’s talk that City have wanted him, Tottenham almost got him, but the owner grabbed hold of him and said no, that looks a good decision.”

Gibbs-White will have his sights set on playing for England at the summer’s World Cup, and the ball is in his court to keep proving himself to Thomas Tuchel.

Forest have rejoiced at Gibbs-White in recent weeks with how well he’s been playing, and if he showcases this form for a few more weeks, it could be a really exciting end to the season for the Reds.
