😍GET IN THERE!!! Sum up our huge win over Chelsea in three words…

Matz Sels saved a Cole Palmer penalty in first-half stoppage time, and Joao Pedro saw a goal ruled out for offside in the second half.

Chelsea striker Joao Pedro scored the game’s best goal with an acrobatic effort in stoppage time, but Forest did hold on for the win.

Following a big three points for the Reds, we’ve looked at the Forest players and scored their performances out of 10.

Matz Sels – 9

Saved brilliantly by Cole Palmer as he spurned his penalty opportunity just before half-time and was composed throughout the game.

Zach Abbott – 6

Coped well with the lively threat of Jesse Derry making his Chelsea debut, but was forced off before half-time after a nasty clash of heads.

Jair Cunha – 6

Played out a little bit naively in some areas, but overall, another steady performance from the Brazilian youngster.

Morato – 6

Did his job relatively well, but must learn to clear his lines a little bit better in tight situations. Still, he did alright in place of Murillo.

Luca Netz – 8

Sean Dyche should have been sacked on the spot for not picking him at Leeds back in February. A stunning display from the left-back, who looks like a quality addition to the squad

Ryan Yates – 7

Did his job relatively well and won some clever free kicks in good areas of the pitch.

Nicolas Dominguez – 6

Steady and energetic as ever from the Argentine performer, but he was withdrawn at the interval.

Dilane Bakwa – 8

An exceptional showing from the French winger, who set up the first goal for Taiwo Awoniyi and teased the cross that saw him fouled for the penalty.

James McAtee – 7

Technically superb by the attacking midfielder, and he showed some nice touches, especially in the first half.

Igor Jesus – 7

Held the ball extremely well again, and he does look far better when he has another striker alongside him.

Taiwo Awoniyi – 10

Took his goals superbly well and looks up to the challenge of competing for the striker spot. Won the penalty for goal number two as well in a fine afternoon.

There are a fair few to choose from!

Substitutes

Neco Williams – 7

Slotted in well after the injury to Abbott and went about his business in his usual efficient style.

Nikola Milenkovic – 7

The Serbian never gave Liam Delap a sniff of goal and kept him at arm’s length throughout.

Morgan Gibbs-White – 7

He was forced off with a head injury, but not before helping himself to another assist for Awoniyi to bag his second of the afternoon.

Elliot Anderson – 8

Produced the pass of the day for Gibbs-White in the move that produced the third Forest goal and did well throughout the second half.

Chris Wood – 6

Came on once Gibbs-White cut his head and helped Forest keep the ball up the pitch.

Omari Hutchinson – N/A
