Vitor Pereira has masterminded Nottingham Forest to Premier League survival with two games to spare.
Elliot Anderson scored a late equaliser against Newcastle United, and that result, coupled with a win for Arsenal over West Ham, has guaranteed survival for Forest.
NOTTINGHAM FOREST ARE SAFE!!!! What advice would you now give to Evangelos Marinakis ahead of next season?
Evangelos Marinakis will now have a big decision to make this summer, with Pereira having a year to run on his existing City Ground contract.
Anderson’s goal was clearly a nice moment for the player, who this week attended his mother’s funeral back in the North East, and he paid tribute to her after his goal.

Vitor Pereira’s staff saw Elliot Anderson’s goal coming
Pereira was quizzed on the Forest number eight after the game and shared what his coaching staff were saying about him.
It’s believed that it was noted that Anderson was in fine form in the warm-up, with his shooting training proving very fruitful.
Pereira said after the game: “He has the quality to score goals. In the warm-up, my assistants stopped, and they said to me, ‘Elliot is on fire today.’ Every time that he shot on goal, he scored.”
Anderson will likely leave Forest in the summer, and a quality World Cup for England could help the Reds demand even more in the way of a transfer fee.
It’s quite telling that Anderson was red hot in the warm-up and his link-up play with James McAtee in the build-up to his goal was a joy to behold.
What did Vitor Pereira get right during the Nottingham Forest draw against Newcastle?
If Forest do only have Anderson for another two games, then it really has been a blast.
Last season, the £35 million man from Newcastle helped Forest qualify for Europe, and this season he’s confirmed himself as one of the country’s top midfielders.
Anderson will be sorely missed when he leaves in the summer and Forest simply have to make sure that he’s replaced properly.
