Nottingham Forest are flying the flag for the East Midlands when it comes to the Premier League.
The Reds have secured Premier League survival for another season, whilst Derby will remain in the Championship, and Leicester City were relegated to League One.
Will Luca Netz become the first choice left-back at Nottingham Forest next season?
Mansfield Town, managed by Nigel Clough, enjoyed a brilliant campaign, finishing 10th in League One, and that’s a great achievement for the Stags.
It’s Forest who sit at the top table still, however, and now a player who helped the club win promotion back to the Premier League is being courted by Derby and Leicester.

Derby and Leicester compete for Max Lowe’s signature
According to a Sheffield Star exclusive, Lowe is being courted by the East Midlands pairing as he prepares to wave goodbye to Sheffield Wednesday.
The Owls want to keep Lowe as they prepare to tackle League One again next season, but there are some complications after their recent takeover.
Lowe made 29 appearances for the South Yorkshiremen last season, and interest is rife in the man who helped Forest win promotion to the Premier League during 2021/22.
The left-back made 23 appearances for Forest, scoring once and registering four assists as the Reds won promotion under Steve Cooper.
Since leaving Forest, Lowe has been part of a promotion-winning squad with Sheffield United and also made Premier League appearances for them, before signing for Wednesday.
Now, Lowe could return to Derby – the club where it all began for him – or Leicester as he looks to secure a new club ahead of next season.
Lowe will always be remembered by Forest fans for his brilliant efforts during a one-year loan on Trentside, and the hope will be that he doesn’t return to Derby any time soon.
