Paul Scholes hails Elliot Anderson
Anderson is destined for stardom and it’s likely that he’s coming to the end of his time at the City Ground.
The young midfielder will almost certainly depart Forest after he’s played for England at the World Cup and Manchester United could be one of his potential destinations.
Scholes said on TalkSPORT: “Every time I watch United, they get attacked through the middle. They need someone to play with Kobbie Mainoo.
“They might need two players in there. Anderson would be top of that list for me. I really liked him when he was at Newcastle; they had to sell him, but what I’ve seen of him, he’s been nothing short of brilliant for Forest.
“He’s still got to go to that next level, he’s done it with England, and it looks to me like he’d be able to handle playing for United no problem.”
Anderson has been a dream since signing for Forest.
He’s grasped a midfield role with both hands and is now valued at over £100 million by Evangelos Marinakis.
It’s fantastic that Forest have remained in the Premier League, and now any club that wants Anderson to sign for them this summer.
Forest have to make sure that Anderson is adequately replaced, and it will be fascinating to see whether United or Manchester City come up with the British transfer fee that Marinakis is craving.
